IS COACHING FOR ME?

If you are considering coaching as a method to help you make a positive change in your life, chances are you have tried something else and it has not worked to your satisfaction.  I applaud your bravery to try another way and I praise your persistence.  I will boldly say that you will be rewarded for your consistent efforts.  Coaching is not a magic wand.  It requires commitment on your part. A commitment to be honest with yourself and with me and a commitment to make the time for sessions and to follow through with the steps you decide to take. 


HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

One of the texts I studied during my professional health coach training course is called Changing For Good by doctors James Prochaska, John Norcross and Carlo DiClemente.  These acclaimed psychologists studied over one thousand people who were able to permanently alter their lives without the help of psychotherapy.  Based on this study they outline a six-stage program for successfully overcoming bad habits.  The National Cancer Institute found this program more than twice as effective as standard programs in helping smokers quit for 18 months or more.  This book points out that one of the most common pitfalls that prevents most people from sustaining the changes they make is that they do too much too soon. When you enroll in my coaching program we do a thorough history and assesment.   You clarify exactly what you desire to achieve and explore why you wish to do it. During each session you choose an action step that you absolutely can accomplish that is appropriate for your present circumstances and stage of change.  Early success builds momentum and each step you decide on supports real, sustainable change. Sustainable change is a transformation.  You feel and act like a different person, because you are.  You have made choices that support you and you have stepped into a different way of being.   The length of time for this to occur depends on what it is the individual wishes to accomplish and is influenced by so many factors I can't predict how long it will take.  Many people have more than one goal and wish to continue recieving the benefits and guidance of coaching even after the original goal is attained. I require a three month commitment to join my program. 


 

WHAT DOES MY PROGRAM CONSIST OF?   

Your program consists of personal co-active coaching sessions by phone or by SKYPE, access to specialized knowledge and experience as compatible with your goals, action steps decided on by you, support, encouragement and accountability. You will be surprised by the momentum you feel toward reaching your goals when you have a personal coach!


Month One consists of a comprehensive 80 minute intake session, one 60 minute co-active coaching session, two 40 minute co-active coaching sessions and email support and email availability between coaching sessions.


Month Two consists of one 60 minute co-active coaching session and two 40 minute co-active coaching sessions and email support and email availability between sessions.


Month Three consists of three 40 minute co-active coaching sessions and email support and availability between sessions.


Subsequent months are customized to your progress.  Most commonly, people continue as per Month Three until they reach and are sucessfully maintaining their goal.  Once at this maintenance stage many people chose to reduce the co-active coaching sessions to once per month with email support.  Often people will add focus to a new goal and we will continue with three coaching sessions per month.

Save $44.00 if you pay for all three months at sign up ($754.00)

 

Additional or A la carte coaching sessions can be added $30.00 per 20 minutes, $60 per 40 minutes and so forth.

A Health History and Assessment are included in the intake session of the program.  If you currently have a health challenge or wish to make changes to your diet or activity level, I may require a physician's consent form or a waiver to coach you.
